Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 01/08/2017

An hour of the NFL Wild Card game was greater than three hours of The Golden Globes, as FOX tops NBC on Sunday night. The game drew over 34 million viewers and helped boos THE SIMPSONS and SON OF ZORN above their respective season averages. FOX out performed NBC by 700,000 total viewers and roughly 10% in the demographic categories.

THE GOLDEN GLOBES brought in 16.7 million viewers and posted a 4.8 rating in Adults 18-49, from 8 tho 11 PM. that is down nearly two million viewers and 13% in the demo, from last year's event.

CBS topped ABC for the #3 spot, with relatively solid numbers from 7 to 10 PM. ELEMENTARY is still a sore spot for CBS, but at least it topped CONVICTION.
