Final Broadcast Ratings: January 24, 2016

All eyes were on FOX, Sunday night, as it carried the huge ratings grabber, the NFC Championship, and the long waited series event premiere of THE X-FILES.

The NFC Championship Game was a blow out, with the Panthers killing the Cardinals, 49-15. The ratings may have been bigger than the 45.7 million viewers and a 15.7 rating in Adults 18-49, had the game been as exciting and close as the AFC Championship game, earlier in the day. Last Years AFC Game, on CBS, drew over 42.1 million viewers and a 13.9 demo rating.

After the 25 minute post-game show, the much anticipated THE X-FILES event premiere did not disappoint. Starting at just before 10:30, the premiere collected a 6.1 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 16.2 million viewers. A good start to the six episode event.

Not much else worth mentioning on a night with encores on the other networks. Only GALAVANT was original and drew the second worse numbers on the night, just above the two hour encore of AGENT CARTER.
