Ratings Review: LAW & ORDER: SVU (Season 17 - Fall 2015)

LAW & ORDER: SVU is still chugging along after 17 seasons, keeping up with and even exceeding, new series on NBC and other networks. It has a good chance of tying the original LAW & ORDER for the longest running series of the franchise and, perhaps even pass it come fall 2019. But, lets digress a bit and look at this fall's ratings.

In the Live+SD ratings, SVU averaged 6.89 million viewers, a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-34, a 1.6 rating in Adults 18-49, and a 2.0 rating in Adults 25-54, for the fall half of the season.

In the Live+3 DVR ratings, the series averaged an additional 2.3 million viewers and  a full point in the A18-49 demographic. By the Live+7 DVR ratings, the averages grew to 9.86 million viewers (+43%) and a 2.8 rating (+75%) in Adults 18-49.

After six weeks off, the series will return to original episodes on January 6, 2016.
