Ratings Review: HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (Season One)

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (HTGAWM) is another great example that CBS is not the only network that can develop crime dramas with great ratings. ABC has another solid Thursday night performer, but is limited to just the 15 hours per season.

It is easy to overlook how hot this series was, back in September. It has been overshadowed, a bit, by the surging drama, EMPIRE. But HTGAWM is still one of the strongest shows in the 2014-15 freshman class.

Live+SD for the season, HTGAWM averaged 7.16 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 22 airings, including 8 repeats. Take away the December and January encores, and the series averaged 9.84 million viewers and a3.0 demo rating.

In the Live+7 ratings, viewership grew to 14.90 million viewers and a solid 5.0 demo rating.
