Ratings Review: FOR BETTER OR WORSE (Season Five - Fall 2014)

I have lost count. How many TV series does Tyler Perry have on OWN? 10? 15? 20? It seems like he has one on each night of the week, each week of the year. FOR BETTER OR WORSE is one of his OWN dramas, now in its fifth season.

Upfront, it was hard finding data on the series as it did not always make the published charts around the internet. I even found conflicting numbers, that had some later episodes topping out over three million viewers. But that was one source and may have been compromised with its data.

Now that the series does have 100 episodes, and with dismal ratings, I can easily see the network pulling the series out production, after the upcoming 6th season. More than a third of the episodes drew less than one million viewers and the Live+3 numbers only add a couple 100k tot the total.

The series averages just over one million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, for the fall season. The sixth season is scheduled to premiere in late March, 2015. My guess is that the ratings will continue to drop through 2015.
