Ratings Review: Pac12 College Football (Fall 2014)
FOX does not have a good college football package for its primetime game, each Saturday night. Rarely is a PAC-12 match up generating national interest on the scale to have decent ratings. But, given the alternative, drama encores, it literally is better than nothing.
Good ratings, for sports, is dependent on the match u each week. The best FOX could do were the two conference championships, at the end of the season. But, I would assume, even the lowest rated games do relatively well in the young male demographics.
This package is the starting foundation on which the network can build upon, over the next few years, or even decades, down the road. Eventually, FOX will find a way to either grab a better TV package, or wait for the PAC-12 to become relevant again.
