Ratings Review: TYRANT (Season One)
FX has had a tough time finding that new drama that captures the audience, like NIP/TUCK and THE SHIELD. Freshman drama TYRANT appears to not be the complete answer FX is looking for.
The ratings did look promising as more than two million viewers tuned into the series premiere, but 700,000 of those viewers did not bother to tune back into the second episode. But, finding a silver lining, the ratings stayed at that level. Of all the new series FX has premiere this year, this is one of the stronger entries.
For the season, TYRANT averaged 1.55 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 10 episodes. No word yet on if a second season will happen.
