Ratings Review: THE LAST SHIP (Season One)

THE LAST SHIP is perhaps the biggest freshman series this summer, perhaps even of all of 2014. It had an immediate impact on the ratings, quickly becoming TNT's top show in the A18-49 ratings.

For most of the series 10 week run, THE LAST SHIP was the #1 program of Sunday nights. It was consistently in the top 10 each week and out ranked veteran series like MAJOR CRIMES and RIZZOLI & ISLES in the demo ratings.

Even if viewers were not watching the series on Sunday nights, they were within the first seven days. Viewership jumped about 2.5 million, after seven days, while the A18-49 ratings would increase 50-70 percent. TNT has a very solid hit on its hands.

For the 10 episodes season, THE LAST SHIP averaged 4.43 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49. TNT wasted no time to order a second season of the series, with 2015 getting 13 episodes.
