Ratings Review: FALLING SKIES (Season Four)

Over the last year, I have stated that FALLING SKIES is the best sci-fi series on TV, but after season four, I need to soften that statement, a bit. It is still the best, but season four was a let down.

I may not be the only fan of the series to fell this way as the ratings may indicate a growing disappointment with the story line of this season. Going from nearly three million viewers an episode, in June & July, to below 2.5 million viewers in August, is a small sign of viewers dropping off.

True, the audience may still be there, just not wanting to cat it on Sundays, but willing to wait a few days later to watch. Nearly two million viewers watch the series after each Sunday's premiere of episodes.

For the season, FALLING SKIES averaged 2.72 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49. The series will be back in 2015, with one last season. Hopefully FALLING SKIES can close it out on a bang.
