Late Night Ratings: June 16 - July 11, 2014

The latest Late Night Talk Show ratings are out and THE TONIGHT SHOW continues to dominate the time slot and format. Using a rolling four week chart, Fallon's ratings from last week are slightly above his four week average, which includes repeats, one week earlier. THE TONIGHT SHOW has a good one million viewer+ lead over THE LATE LATE SHOW and JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, when all three are in original episodes.

Kimmel has basically pulled even with Letterman, in total viewers, and is edging in front of the veteran in the A18-49 numbers. It will be hard to believe that by this time next year, Jimmy Kimmel will be the elder statesman of late night talk.

The battle is a little tighter at 12:30 a.m. LATE NIGHT does regularly beat THE LATE LATE SHOW, but NIGHTLINE will come in and swoop in for an occasional win, perhaps because of the news of a given day. With Ferguson being in 3rd place, on most weeks, we see why CBS passed him over for the 11:30 gig. Although, he is the funnest of the 12:30 a.m. hosts.
