Primetime Cable Ratings: July 16. 2014
FOX NEWS got a push in the ratings as THE O'REILLY FACTOR rose to the #2 spot, drawing 2.9 million viewers. The news has been active the last few days, with the middle east heating up and the USA upping the sanctions against Russia. In light of today's news of the downed airliner, in the Ukraine, expect not only FOX to benefit in the ratings, but CNN and MSNBC, as well.DUCK DYNASTY seems to have settled into it's new ratings level of between 3.5 and 4.0 million viewers and a mid-one in the A18-49 ratings. That is still strong enough to claim the #1 spot of the night.
Falling outside the top 10 was the annual ESPY Awards, which only drew 2.2 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating. That is not too far off from last year's 2.3 million viewers and a 1.0 demographic number.
