Ratings Review: SUPERNATURAL (Season Nine)
Now after nine season, starting on the old WB Network, SUPERNATURAL is still one of the more popular series on the CW. It is a two three in both total viewers and the A18-49 demographic, channlenging the younger, more "hip" shows on the network.
With exception of a few spring dates, SUPERNATURAL consistently draws in over two million viewers each week. It is also one of the stronger shows in the demographic ratings, pulling between a 0.9 and a 1.2 rating.
In the DVR numbers, SUPERNATURAL usually grows by 50%, after the 7th day of viewers, after the original air date. The few data points available, SUPERNATURAL does add about one million more viewers within the seven day time frame, perhaps getting over 4 million viewers of the higher rated episodes.
For the season, SUPERNATURAL averaged 2.05 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 26 airings, including three repeats. Success could continue for the series as it will get the new series THE FLASH as a lead in, this fall, plus the CW will attempt another spin-off series, with a push to get this one to series.
