Ratings Review: NASHVILLE (Season Two)
It was not a good year for NASHVILLE, but it was not a bad year either. Yes, ratings were down and were not looking good, but the series will see a third season and CSI will not be in the time slot next fall.
The LIVE+SD ratings are pretty lackluster for the year. staying under six million viewers all season, after the season premiere, and falling under five million come the spring time. It was looking as if the series would get cancelled, but with the 2013-14 season ABC had, it was above the mess that was the 2013-14 freshman class.
The strength of NASHVILLE is it's LIVE+7 ratings. For a series that gets mediocre ratings, its DVR numbers are actually pretty good. Viewership increases by three million, or more than 50%, and the A18-49 ratings jump anywhere between 50 and 100 percent.
For the season, NASHVILLE averaged 4.52 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 31 airings, including 8 repeat episode and one special. Season three will be a make or break season for NASHVILLE, but with another new series in the time slot, chances are good for it to rebound in the ratings.
