Ratings Review: HANNIBAL (Season Two)

For a second straight year, HANNIBAL pulls in one of the lowest ratings for the NBC Network, but like last season, it is rewarded with another 13 episode order.

Only twice did the series pull in more than three million viewers for an episode and once it failed to pull in two million viewers. The CW's ARROW, SUPERNATURAL and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES can pull in more viewers than HANNIBAL.

In the DVR numbers, the percentage is high, ranging from 33% to 100% increases, but the gain is always less than a full ratings point. As I have pointed out before, the doubling of a low number, is still a low number.

For the 13 episode season, HANNIBAL averaged 2.56 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in Adults 18-49. The series will be back for a third season, but if NBC can get a couple more new shows to pull in decent numbers, HANNIBAL will end after season three.
