Ratings Review: MIKE & MOLLY (Season Four)

MIKE & MOLLY was that player on the bench, not getting into the starting line up, then called to play when the star failed to lead the team. It is not a lead in itself, but it helped the team finish the game, with a respectable score.

The fourth year comedy did a good job of patching up the 9: p.m. slot, after 2 BROKE GIRLS was demoted down to 8:30. CBS now had three sold series from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., in a tough Monday night environment.

Like 2 BROKE GIRLS, it's DVR ratings were averaging about 2 million more viewers than the original telecast. The A18-49 ratings for the first 7 days were usually gained in the 0.8 to 1.0 range.

For the season, MIKE & MOLLY averaged 7.93 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 26 airings, including 4 repeat episodes. The series will once again, sit the bench and wait for a mid-season call up. But, unlike last year, CBS looks to be in better shape for the first 5-6 weeks of the season.
