Ratings Review: THE BACHELOR (Sprin 2014)

For most of the 2014 season, THE BACHELOR was very mediocre. It's ratings never pushed up above a three, in the A18-49 ratings, and viewership stayed below nine million. It was better than what DANCING WHAT THE STARS was pulling in, in the demo ratings, but not by much.
But, when it came to the season finale, the fans tuned in. The finale regular episode rose a full point in the A18-49 ratings, from the previous week, and total viewership grew by two million. The AFTER THE ROSE special built another 900k in viewers and another half point in the demo ratings.

For the 2014 season, THE BACHELOR averaged 8.38 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in Adults 18-49. The series will be back for yet another season, and ABC just ordered a new spin-off series titled BACHELOR PARADISE. The new series will have a summer run and is very similar to the series BACHELOR PAD, from a couple season back.
