Ratings Review: ALMOST HUMAN (Season One)

FOX gave ALMOST HUMAN every chance to succeed. It was well sampled on a Sunday night premiere, getting the NFL football games as a lead in. Nearly 12.6 million viewers sampled that episode, within the first seven days. A strong showing for the freshman series. But it quickly fell in the ratings to average ratings.
Once it moved into the Monday 8 p.m. time slot, replacing BONES, it would eventually do no better, and at time worse, than the average ratings BONES was getting earlier in the season. But, when you compare how ALMOST HUMAN did, in comparison to the rest of the FOX schedule, it did relatively well.

For the season, ALMOST HUMAN averaged 5.78 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 13 original episodes and two encore airings. The series is a true bubble series right now and it may not be until the May upfronts before we learn the fate of the series. This is a good series that need a little tweaking (not a lot) and some better procedural writing on the staff.
