Netflix gets Three Original Dreamworks Series

In the deal between Netflix and Dreamworks, the streaming service is launching no fewer than three new original series, two of which will come from popular animated movie franchises.

The first series will be a spin-off from the MADAGASCAR movie, titled KING JULIEN. The next movie spin-off will be from the SHREK universe called PUSS IN BOOTS, featuring the swashbuckling cat. The last series is VEGGIE TALES: IN THE HOUSE, a reboot of the faith-based animated series.

These three new series will join TURBO FAST, which made it's Netflix premiere in December, 2013. That series has been releasing episodes in clusters, instead of an all-at-once release for a full season.

KING JULIEN, PUSS IN BOOTS and VEGGIE TALES will premiere sometime in late 2014.
