Ratings Review: MASTERCHEF (Summer 2013)

The summer of 2013 was a tough one for FOX, but the one thing it could count on was Gordon Ramsey. His second cooking show of the season, MASTERCHEF is becoming one of the higher rated programs of the summer.

MASTERCHEF has always been a strong performer of FOX, but this summer, it stepped up and began beating summer king AMERICA'S GOT TALENT in the important A18-49 ratings. The last few weeks, as both AGT and MASTERCHEF was closing in on crowning a champion, MASTERCHEF was usually on top each Wednesday night.

For the 2013 summer season, MASTERCHEF aired on 17 night, including one night of repeat episodes. It averaged 5.4 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in Adults 18-49. The series was renewed for two more seasons and a spin-off, MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, will air this fall, on Friday nights.
