Ratings Review: RED WIDOW
RED WIDOW was doomed from the start when sampling from the first episode was low, especially in the A18-49 demographic ratings. Just 7.1 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating for the two hour premiere. The numbers only got worse as the weeks went on. It was down nearly 3 million viewers and 33% in the demo, by its third airing. At its lowest point, it had sunk by 5 million viewers and lost a full ratings point in the A18-49 demographics.
This was the second failed drama in the time slot and the fourth series since ABC cancelled BROTHERS & SISTERS after the 2010-11 season. Next up for the time slot, in the fall of 2013, is BETRAYAL. Odds are, it will not last a full season.
