Ratings Review: THE AMAZING RACE (Spring 2013)

THE AMAZING race has become the foundation of the CBS sunday line up. It gets about as many total viewers as the dramas THE GOOD WIFE and THE MENTALIST  but always performs well in the A18-49 ratings, as the networks top performer in the category.

The numbers did drop, slightly, for THE AMAZING RACE. From the fall season, it was down a couple tenths of a ratings point in Adults 18-49. viewership was mostly flat, down less than a a couple hundred thousand viewers.

What the series really needs a strong companion series. A show that compliments its demographics. If CBS could program a two hour block of shows that attract the same type of viewers, TAR could see a resurgence in the ratings, even against football in the fall.
