Rating Review: MAJOR CRIMES

Although MAJOR CRIMES is no THE CLOSER, it is still a force to be dealt with. It is one of the few franchises that can have the lead character gone and still thrive.

 MAJOR CRIMES averages over 5 million viewers, which is still tough to do in Cable TV. That allows TNT a solid base to keep their subscriber fees up when dealing with the cable companies. Yes, the A18-49 ratings are a bit low, but there are easily within range with most cable series.

The next thing TNT should do is scale down the cast and spin them off to anther series. Air them in separate seasons, but in the same time slot. Order about 16 of each series and you could have a near year round domination of a specific hour.
