USFL Ratings Week 1: April 16-18
The inaugural games of the "new" United States Football League kicked off this weekend, with a simulcast of the first game on both FOX and NBC. FOX drew the larger audience for the game, getting 1.76 million viewers, compared to NBC's 1.31 million. In comparison to the XFL 2.0 launch in 2020, the USFL drew about 300,000 less viewers and just 60% of the viewers in the 18-49 demographic.
A year earlier, the The inaugural game, of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) on CBS, drew 3.25 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. The AAF folded before completing its first season.
NBC's exclusive game on Sunday afternoon, Easter Sunday, drew a decent 2.15 million viewers.
The other two games of the weekend were on cable, with the Sunday night game for FS1 getting postponed to Monday night, due to weather conditions.
Peacock is also a broadcaster for the league, streaming NBC and USA game, for those subscribers that pay for the premium membership.

Week 1 Attendance Figures:
The USFL is going with a "hub" concept for the first season, with all game being played in Birmingham, AL. The league is reporting 40,000 tickets were distributed for the first game, on Saturday night, but only about 17,000 were in attendance. Both Sunday and Monday night games saw a mpstly empty stadium, as bad weather kept fans from coming out on Easter Sunday and the postponed Monday night game looked more like a preseason exhibition game.
Week 2 Schedule:
Week two of the USFL will have the four games spread out over three days.
Panther and Generals play on Friday night, at 8PM ET, on USA Network.
Saturday has the Maulers vs Stars at 12PM, on FOX, then Stallions vs Gamblers at 7PM, on FS1.
Closing the weekend is the Breakers vs Bandits, on NBC, at 3PM Sunday.
