The Demand Expressions metric draws from a wide variety of data sources, including video streaming, social media activity, photo sharing, blogging, commenting on fan and critic rating platforms, and downloading and streaming via peer-to-peer protocols and file sharing sites.
STAR WARS/Disney+ did not have the FORCE to dethrone STRANGER THINGS as the #1 series in Demand Expressions, this past week. The debut of THE MANDILORIAN, on Disney+, only produced 39.9 million expressions, just under 40% of what STRANGER THINGS generated. THE MANDALORIAN finished 3rd on the streaming originals chart, but failed to come close to making the top ten of the overall chart.
