With its 3-hour drama line-up, ABC ranked as the No. 1 non-sports network in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4), dominating CBS by 29% (0.7/4) and NBC by 50% (0.6/3). Improving over the prior week by 13% with Adults 18-49 (as all three ABC series grew week to week), ABC stood as the only broadcaster to post weekly growth.
“Grey’s Anatomy” (8:00-9:00 p.m. – 6.1 million and 1.3/6 in AD18-49):
ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” stood as Thursday’s No. 1 entertainment program among Adults 18-49 (1.3/6), ranking as the night’s top non-sports program for the 5th time in 5 weeks. “Grey’s Anatomy” grew over the previous week in both Total Viewers (+7% – 6.1 million vs. 5.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% – 1.3/6 vs. 1.2/6).
On average, during the first 3 weeks of the season, ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” is Thursday’s No. 1 gainer in TV playback (and No. 2 for the season overall) among Adults 18-49 with a lift of +1.1 rating points from L+SD to L+7.
“A Million Little Things” (9:00-10:00 p.m. – 4.4 million and 0.9/4 in AD18-49):
ABC’s “A Million Little Things” shot up over the prior week by 29% among Adults 18-49 (0.9/4 vs. 0.7/3) to score its highest-rated telecast since its season opener and grew by 10% in Total Viewers (4.4 million vs. 4.0 million) to draw its largest audience in 3 weeks—since 9/26/19 and 10/3/19, respectively. In addition, “AMLT” improved by double digits over its comparable year-ago telecast (3.5 million and 0.8/4 on 10/24/18) in both Total Viewers (+26%) and Adults 18-49 (+13%). ABC’s “A Million Little Things” ranked as the No. 1 non-sports program in the hour with Adults 18-49 (0.9/4), topping CBS’ comedies by 13% (0.8/3) and NBC’s comedies including the premiere of “Will & Grace” by 50% (0.6/3).

ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” soared by double digits week to week in Total Viewers (+14% – 2.4 million vs. 2.1 million) to a 3-week high and in Adults 18-49 (+25% – 0.5/3 vs. 0.4/2) to match a best-since premiere rating—since 10/3/19 and 9/26/19, respectively.
On average this season, ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” is the No. 1 gainer on the broadcast networks among Adults 18-49, soaring by +140% over its L+SD rating after 7 days of TV playback.
