Top 10: 2019 Summer Box Office

Disney had a strong summer in the theaters, taking four of the top five spots, with the LION KING remake taking the top spot, with a total gross of $523.5 million. TOY STORY 4 was nearly a full $100 million behind, in second, with $430 million, spring's AVENGERS ENDGAME grossing over $384 million, during the summer season and the ALADDIN remake, was 4th, $30 million behind ENDGAME.

Sony's SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME took the third spot with a solid $386 million domestic take. of course, Disney had its hand in that movie, with Marvel Studios co-producing.

Sadly, only 11 movies made it over $100 million, with the latest GODZILLA movie hauling in just $111 million, for the #11 spot.
