US Box Office Results: June 14 - 16, 2019

It was a tough weekend for the box office, as the top movie, MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL only grossed $28.5 million, in its first weekend of release. That is easily the worst opening of the franchise, barely making 60% of the other three movies, opening weekends, including the first movie, 22 years ago.

THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS challenged MIB:I for the top spot, falling just $5 million short of repeating as the top movie. the $80 million film has already brought in $92 million, in just 10 days of release.

Another new opening, and sequel, SHAFT, could only generate $8.3 million, ranking 6th on the list.
