US Box Office Results: November 16 - 18, 2018
The latest movie in the HARRY POTTER universe, tops the weekend box office, grabbing $62 million in its first three days of release. That is the lowest opening in the 10 film series, $12 million below 2016's first FANTASTIC BEAST movie. Internationally, the film grossed $192 million.
Family movie, INSTANT FAMILY, came in fourth place, in its first weekend of release, taking in $14.7 million. The Mark Wahlburg led film will struggle to reach its $48 million production budget.
The same can be said for this weeks third new release, WIDOWS, which was right behind INSTANT FAMILY, with $12.3 million and may not even reach its $42 million production budget.
