US Box Office Results: September 28 - 30, 2018
Two new releases battled it out for the top spot of this past weekend's box office chart, with the Kevin Hart film, NIGHT SCHOOL taking the top spot. The comedy collected $27.3 million in its first three days, beating SMALLFOOT by over $4 million. NIGHT SCHOOL was also in about 25% less theaters than the animated film.
THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS was the top returning film, ranking third on the weekend. The family film dropped over 50% from its premiere weekend and has a 10-day total of $44.8 million, just over its production budget.
CRAZY RICH ASIANS continues to do well, now in its seventh weekend. The romantic comedy ranked 7th on the weekend, grossing another $4.1 million, bringing its domestic take to over $165.6 million.
