FOX tops the Wednesday night ratings, averaging a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-34, a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49 and total viewers of 4.5 million. EMPIRE was the #1 program in the younger demographics, including a 1.1 in the A18-34 demo. the once-hot drama drew five million viewers in the 8 PM hour. Lead out STAR dropped about 20% of its lead in audience, for four million viewers and a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49.
NBC was second on the night, averaging a 0.1.3 rating in Adults 18-49 and over eight million viewers. MED led the night off with just under eight million viewers, leading into FIRE with 8.8 million. PD closed the night with 7.8 million, winning the 10 PM hour.
ABC's comedies kept the network competitive from 8 to 10 PM, peaking with MODERN FAMILY's 1.4 demo rating and 5.3 million viewers. A MILLION LITTLE THINGS was second in the 10 PM hour, with a 0.8 demo rating and 3.8 million viewers. ABC averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating, on the night.
CBS was a close third, but SURVIVOR carried the night for the network. The long running competition series was #2 in the A18-49 demo, with a 1.5 rating, and #1 in the A25-54 demo, with a 2.1 rating, plus drew 7.2 million viewers. SEAL TEAM dropped about half the demo audience, from its lead in, while CRIMINAL MINDS lost another tenth of a point, for the final hour, securing a last place finish in the hour.. CBS averaged 5.5 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49.
