US Box Office Results: September 14 - 16, 2018
THE PREDATOR, the sixth movie of the franchise, opened to a relatively soft opening, collecting just $24.0 million in its first three days of release. But, it is the third best opening of the six movie, falling just short of 2010's PREDATORS, for the #2 spot. THE PREDATOR will struggle to gross its production budget of $80 million.
Last week's #1 movie, THE NUN, dropped 66% with a $18.2 million take in its second weekend. The horror flick has a 10-day total of just over $85 million, nearly four times its $22 million production budget.
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALLOUT, ranked 10th in what may be its last week on the chart. The $2.3 million takes puts the film over $216 million and in the #7 position, passing both ANT-MAN & THE WASP (#8) and SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY (#9).
