TOP 10: 2018 Summer Box Office
Superhero movies dominate the top of the summer box office, which is defined as being from the first weekend of May through the Labor Day weekend. INCREDIBLES 2 haled in over $602 million, for the top spot, with an $185 million advantage over the #2 movie, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM. DEADPOOL 2 (#3) and ANT-MAN & THE WASP (#4) top off the superhero movies.
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT, ranked sixth on the list, but will keep going as it is still drawing in theater goers and should pass SOLO and ANT-MAN by the end of its run.
Just outside of the TOP 10, is CRAZY RICH ASIANS, which is still topping the box office, as it enters its fourth weekend, in the fall season. The film has the potential to rank as high as #10, in the yearly box office rankings, before it ends its theatrical run, excluding upcoming holiday releases.
