Preliminary Ratings: Monday 09/17/2018
Monday night was all NBC with the 70th Emmy Awards presentation. The annual event collected 9.1 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49. That is down 2.3 million viewers and about 20% in the demo, from lat year's telecast, on CBS.
The other networks fought it out for second pace as CBS, ABC and FOX each scored a 0.6 rating in the A18-49 demographic. CBS's two season finales (SALVATION and ELEMENTARY) were basically last in their respective time slots, with SALVATION barely beating the CW, in the 9 PM hour. CBS averaged 3.5 million viewers on the night.
ABC was third on the night, averaging 3.2 million viewers, the same average as the two hours of CATSAWAYS, from 8 to 10 PM.
FOX's two hour special on the Inside of the Manson Cult did relatively decent, grabbing 2.5 million viewers.
An all-encore CW collected a 0.2 demo rating and 700,000 total viewers.
