US Box Office Results: August 10 - 12, 2018
The horror shark movie, THE MEG, debuted as the #1 movie of the weekend, grossing $44.5 million. The $130 million movie should bring in more than its production budget, putting it into the green by the end of its run, especially when you add in the international grosses.
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FALL OUT falls to the #2 spot, adding $20 million to tits total, now at $162 million domestically, after 17 days of release.
New release, BLACKkKLANSMAN was the #5 movie on the weekend, with $10.8 million, but was in just over 1,500 theaters. it was the #2 movie in the perscreen average, with $7,142, behind THE MEG.
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP end its top-10 run, crossing over the $200 million mark, domestically.
