Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 08/30/2018

All 32 NFL teams played on Thursday night, in their final preseason games before the start of the 2018 NFL season, next Thursday. That means there will be major sports preemption across the country, inflating the preliminary ratings.

Currently, CBS won the night with an average of 5.8 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49. Only BIG BROTHER was original for the network, scoring 6.9 million viewers and a 1.8 demographic rating.

An all-encore FOX takes second place, with 4.2 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating, topping an all-repeat NBC, which averaged 4.1 million viewers and a 0.9 demo.

ABC, the only network in all-original programming, came in fourth place, posting a 0.8 demo and drawing 4.1 million viewers, over the night. THE GONG SHOW, at 8 PM, collected 4.2 million viewers and a 0.8 demo, while two episodes of TAKE TWO averaged 4.1 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating, from 9 to 11 PM.

Telemundo averaged 1.3 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the A18-49 demographic, topping Univision's 0.4 demo and 1.4 million viewers. The CW brings up the rear with a 0.4 demo and 1.3 million viewers.
