Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 08/23/2018

FOX sweeps the Thursday ratings, with an NFL preseason game. The exhibition match drew 6.1 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49. that currently places it as the #2 show of the week, behind Tuesday's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT.

CBS wasn't far behind, considering it had two hours of encores, posting a 1.1 rating and attracting 4.6 million viewers. BIG BROTHER was on the heals of the NFL game, just a tenth of a point behind in the two younger demographic categories.

ABC and NBC were neck-and-neck for a distant third place showing. ABC got the upper hand in the older A25-54 demo and in total viewers. Night two of THE STORY OF THE ROYALS was mostly even from the previous night's premiere.
