Preliminary Ratings: Friday 08/24/2018

CBS takes the top spot of the Friday ratings, with coverage of the Bucs vs Lions preseason NFL game. The game averaged 3.9 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. That topped NBC's second place finish by nearly 25% in viewers and 33% in the A18-49.

FOX finally saw a little success in its BIG3 basketball coverage, grabbing two million viewers and a 0.6 rating in Adults 18-49. In past weeks, the three-on-three basketball games struggled to get a million viewers.

ABC wasn't far behind FOX, averaging just under three million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the A18-49 demographic. WHAT WOULD YOU DO and 20/20 match NBC's encore of NINJA WARRIOR and DATELINE, from 9 to 11 PM.

The appears to be bloated by local sports preemption, averaging 1.5 million viewers and a 0.4 demographic rating, for a night of encores.
