NBC and CBS split leadership in the Friday night ratings, with CBS attracting the most viewers, with an average of 4.5 million viewers. NBC posted the best A18-49 average, with a 0.6 rating, While coming in second in total viewers, with 3.2 million. CBS and ABC tied for second in the A18-49 age group, with 0.5 rating averages. FOX edged out The CW in total viewers, 1.2 million to 1.0 million, and doubled it up in the A18-49 demo, 0.4 to 0.2 ratings points.
In the 8 PM hour, CBS wins with UNDERCOVER BOSS grabbing 3.7 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating. QUANTICO, on ABC, was third with 2.8 million and a 0.4 demo rating. FOX's coverage of Big3 Basketball drew just one million viewers and posted a 0.3 rating, from 8 to 10 PM. The premiere of MASTERS OF ILLUSION placed last, with one million viewers and a 0.2 demo rating. NBC's encore of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR was #2 in the hour.
An original episode of WHAT WOULD YOU DO? tied for first in the 9 PM hour, with a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49, with an encore of HAWAII FIVE-O, but only drew 2.7 million viewers.
At 10 PM, DATELINE was #1 with a 0.7 demo rating and 3.8 million viewers. ABC was second with 3.5 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating for 20/20. An encore of BLUE BLOODS was the most watched of of the evening, with 5.4 million viewers, but was last in the hour with a 0.4 demo rating.
