US Box Office Results: May 11 - 13, 2018
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR continues to dominate the box office, scoring an additional $61.8 million and bringing its domestic total to a staggering $537 million, in just 17 days. Worldwide, the film has grossed over $1.6 billion.
Two new releases occupy the #2 and #3 slots. LIFE OF THE PARTY, the newest Melissa McCarthy film, brought in just $18.5 million, for second place. This is one of her weakest openings, in a starring role, for McCarthy, ranking 10th overall, on her resume.
Drama thriller, BREAKING IN, took in in two million dollars less, for third place., but nearly tripled its production budget of just $6 million. It did better than LIFE OF THE PARTY, in the per-screen average, by a $1,000, but was in just 67% as many theaters.
