It was a tightly contested last week of April in the broadcast ratings. CBS was #1 in total viewers and the A25-54 demographic, while ABC was tops in the A18-34 and A18-49 demographics. Just two tenths of a point separate the BIG 4 networks in the two younger demos, and three tenths of a point in the older, A25-54 demo.
CBS pushed the most shows into the top 30, with 20 programs making the list. THE BIG BANG THEORY was the #1 program of the week, with ROSEANNE in encores.
ABC had seven shows in the top 30, including the four encore episodes of ROSEANNE. AMERICAN IDOL was the top show for ABC, with Sunday night's episode ranking #5 on the week.
Just four NBC shows made the top 30, led by the two THE VOICE episodes at #3 and #6.
FOX was right there with NBC, tying it in the A18-49 demo and topping it in the A18-34 demo. But, the network failed to place any show in the top 30, with EMPIRE doing the best, at #34
