US Box Office Results: March 30 - April 1, 2018
READY PLAYER ONE is the new #1 movie at the box office, grossing $41.2 million in its first three days of release. The Spielberg film is now on pace to grab about $120 million, domestically. It is the 5th best opening weekend for the legendary director, but that is comparing films 10 to 20- years old.
Tyler Perry's ACRIMONY was #2 on the weekend, collecting just over $17 million in its first three days. That rankes 14th, out of 17 films, on the director's opening weekend numbers.
The quiet hit film, I CAN ONLY IMAGIN, was the #4 film, adding another $10.8 million. After three week's of release, the christian film has grossed over $55.5 million. Not bad for a $7 million film.
