Weekend Preliminary ratings: 03/02 - 03/03, 2018
FRIDAY:
All five networks were airing original programming on Friday night, with just an encore of iZOMBIE, from the CW, as the lone encore show.
In the 8 and 9 PM hours, the season premiere of MASTERCHEF JR. won the A18-49 demographic with a 1.0 rating. CBS was second with a 0.8 for MACGYVER at 8 PM and a 0.9 rating for HAWAII FIVE-O at 9 PM. BLIND SPOT (0.7) and TAKEN (0.5) topped ABC's ONCE APON A TIME (0.4) and AGENTS OF SHIELD (0.5), for third in the two hour block.
At 10 PM, BLUE BLOODS rose to win the hour, in viewership and the A18-49 demo, posting a 0.9 demo rating and attracting 8.9 million viewers. DATELINE topped 20/20 with 3.4 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating.
CBS was the most watched network Friday night, with the three most watched shows.
SATURDAY:
ABC and NBC aired sports programming on Saturday night, with NBA Saturday Primetime winning the night with a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49 and grabbing 2.7 million viewers. NHL Hockey, on NBC, only collected 1.6 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49. NBC actually fell behind CBS's encores and 48 HOURS, at 10 PM. FOX aired repeats that tied NBC in the demographic ratings.
