Final Broadcast Ratings: February 8, 2018

Starting a day earlier than normal, NBC kicked of its 18 night coverage of the XXIII Winter Olympics in winning fashion. Sixteen million viewers and a 3.7 rating in Adults 18-49, tuned into see the first events of the games, mostly featuring figure skating. The night was off by about 20% in viewers and 39% in the demo,  from the first night of the Sochi games, in 2014.

ABC and FOX battled it out for second place, posting identical demographic numbers in the two younger demographics. ABC did better in viewers and the older, 25-54 demo. TH FOUR ended its first season with slightly above normal ratings, getting 3.90 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating.

For ABC, the three dramas were only slight off recent viewing levels, but HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER struggled to beat an encore of SWAT, in the 10 PM hour.

CBS a wa relatively competitive fourth place, even with two hours of repeats. Night two of CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER topped FOX for third in the 8 PM hour
