The second and last week of the Winter Olympics pushed NBC to another dominating week, but the week-to-week losses were between 20% and 25%, in the three demographic ratings and total viewership. of the 22 hours of primetime programming for NBC, 20.5 hours made the top ten. Sunday's two non-closing ceremony programs, before and after, ranked 13th for the OLYMPIC GOLD retrospective and 16th for the sitcom, AP BIO, airing at 10:30, Sunday night.
CBS edges ABC for a distant #2 showing, mainly by airing encores of it hit shows, which do relatively well in encores, and five nights of CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER. CBB allowed CBS to stay competitive in the younger demographics, something its reruns struggle to do. CBS took half the spots in the top 30.
ABC pushed five programs into the top 30, including two nights of THE BACHELOR and Saturday's NBA game. THE BACHELOR WINTER GAMES was a bit of a bust, ranking 37th, on its best night.
FOX continues its all-encore schedule, except for UFC on Saturday night. The network was content on a weak 4th place finish, not attempting to even compete with ABC and CBS.
