US Box Office Results: January 26 - 28, 2018

The latest entry of the MAZE RUNNER franchise overtook JUMANJI to bee the #1 movie in the US, grossing $23.5 million in its first three days of release. THE DEATH CURE posted the lowest opening of the franchise and should end up under $80 million for its total box office take, by the end of its run.

Western, HOSTILES, now in wide release, was the third ranking movie of the weekend, with a $10.2 million take.

Bollywood film, PADMAAVAT, cracked the top 10, grossing $4.3 million in just 324 theaters. its $13,188 per screen average was the best of any film, including the top 10 films, this weekend.
