Preliminary Ratings: Friday 12/08/2017

The CBS crime dramas pushed their way to a Friday night sweep in the ratings, producing the three most watched programs of the night and three of the top four shows in each demographic category. Only DATELINE ruined a perfect sweep. All three CBS series were up week-to-week, in all categories.

DATELINE allowed NBC to place second on the night, but BLINDSPOT did place third in its 8 PM hour. BLINDSPOT was mostly even from last week, with DATELINE up in the ratings.

Even with the least watched and worst rated program of the night, from the BIG 4, in THE EXORCIST, FOX still took third place, with HELL'S KITCHEN taking second on the 8 PM hour.

ABC had a consistent night... consistently bad, pulling 0.3 rating in the A18-34 demo and a 0.5 in the A18-49 demo, throughout the night. In its second week, AGENTS OF SHIELD lost 600,000 total viewers (-24%), and nearly 30% in the demo. ABC tied The CW in the A18-34 demo, with a 0.3 rating.
