US Box Office Results: November 24 - 26, 2017
Pixar's new film, COCO, was the number one movie over the Thanksgiving weekend, collecting $71.2 million over the five-day holiday and $49 million over the traditional three-day weekend. The $71.2 million is the fourth best five-day opening for this holiday weekend, but ranks 14th on opening weekends for a Pixar Movie.
Week two of the JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE did relatively well, grossing just under $60 million over the five-day holiday weekend and $40.7 million for the three day weekend results. That puts at the #15 spot for the year, with a 10-day total of $171.5 million, domestically. Worldwide, the DC movie has taken in over $481 million.
The other superhero movie on the chart, THOR: RAGNAROK, was #4 on the weekend, bringing in $16.8 million over the three day weekend and has $277.5 million over its first four weekends in release, ranking #6 for 2017.
