  • (11/10) Disney is developing a live action STAR WARS TV series for its new streaming service, debuting in 2019. The streaming service will also feature new series based on MONSTERS INC, and HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, plus a series from Marvel.

  • The new ESPN OTT Streaming Service will be named "ESPN Plus" and will be launched in the spring of 2018.


  • (11/10) Actor John Hillerman (MAGNUM PI) passes away at age 84.


  • (11/10) Netflix picks up superhero series, THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY, staring Ellen Page, for a 2018 premiere.


  • (11/09) MTV picks up Rob Dyrdek series, AMAZINGNESS.


  • (11/09) CBS All Access has set the Chaper 2 premiere date for STAR TREK: DISCOVERY for January 7, 2018. The season finale is set for February 11, 2018.


  • (11/08) Apple wins bidding war for Jennifer Aston/Reese Witherspoon series, ordering two seasons, with 10 episodes each.


  • (11/08) Despite very low ratings, reboot drama, DYNASTY, gets a "back nine" order from The CW.


  • (11/08) Showtime renews SHAMELESS for a 9th season.


  • (11/08) Amazon picks up superhero series, THE BOYS, from PREACHER creator.


  • (11/07) FOX orders 7 additional episode of sitcom, THE MICK, bringing the season total to 20 episodes.


  • (11/06) ABC announces that the AMERICAN IDOL reboot will premiere on March 11, 2018.


  • (11/03) ABC ordered two additional episode to THE MIDDLE's last season, bringing the 2017-18 total to 24 episodes.


  • (11/03) CBS All Access is rebooting the anthology series, THE TWILIGHT ZONE, with Jordon Peele's coming on as executive producer. This would be the fourth series of the classic to produce original episodes.
