CBS premiered its Thursday night line up and won the night in the ratings. THE BIG BANG THEORY kicked everything off with 14.1 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in Adults 18-49, the night's top numbers. That is up 900,000 total viewers, from its last Monday night airing, but off by a tenth of a point in the A18-49 demographic. YOUNG SHELDON returned and retains 94% of its lead in viewership and 90+ percent in the demos. The season premiere of MOM drew 9.6 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in the A18-49 demo. It topped WILL & GRACE, across the board, but is a loss of 28% in total viewership 25% in the demo, from its lead in. LIFE IN PIECES losses another two million viewers and 15% from its MOM lead in. The series premiere of S.W.A.T.
was a bit soft, collecting 7.5 million viewers and a 1.3 demographic rating. It did win its 10 PM time slot, and is a strong upgrade from last year's occupant, PURE GENIUS.
ABC is the runner up on the night, topping FOX and NBC. GREY'S ANATOMY was #2 in the 8 PM hour, while SCANDAL drops to 3rd in its hour and HTGAWM is last at 10 PM.
NBC's fall finale line up was down with the added competition from the CBS comedies. All five show posted season lows and WILL & GRACE was topped by MOM.
FOX nearly tied NBC on the night, with THE ORVILE, renewed for a second season, dropped 17% in the demo. Both FOX action dramas were fourth in their respective time slots.
