Final Broadcast Ratings: October 5, 2017

With Thursday Night Foodball, CBS wins the Thursday night ratings. The game drew 15.4 million viewers and a 5.0 rating in Adults 18-49.

ABC edged NBC for second place on the night, with GREY'S ANATOMY leading the way with 8.1 million viewers and a 2.1 demo rating. The premiere of SCANDAL collected just 5.5 million viewers and a 1.4 demo. At 10 PM HTGAWM retained just 3.9 million and a 0.9 demo.

NBC averaged 4.3 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating with its 8 PM comedies, while at 9 PM, the average 5.3 million and  1.5 demo rating. WILL & GRACE took a hit, dropping 3 million viewers and 33% in the A18-49 demo. CHICAGO FIRE drew 6.1 million viewers and a 1.2 demo.

The FOX action dramas were a distant 4th, failing to pull in a full point in the A18-49 demographic. Gotham & The Orville averaged 3.1 million viewers on the night.
